How It Works
The Formula
GPA = Σ(grade points × credits) ÷ Σ(credits)
A=4 · B=3 · C=2 · D=1 · F=0 (optionally weighted)
Worked Example
A(3cr) + B(4cr) + C(3cr)
- 1Σ = 4×3 + 3×4 + 2×3 = 30
- 2credits = 10
- 3GPA = 30 ÷ 10 = 3.0
Result: 3.0 GPA
Pro Tip
One A can offset two Cs in a 3-credit system.
